Most people fall into poor habits around managing their money, which spills over into all aspects of their life. They may feel they are at the mercy of other people or the system, when in fact, learning how to manage your energy differently will help you receive more money. Avoid the Victim Mentality
When things aren’t going your way, it’s easy to point fingers or feel sorry for yourself. However, the more we embrace negativity, the more that negativity spreads. Whatever you put your attention on, expands. Did you know that one negative thought will drop your vibration by 12 MHz? One positive thought raises your vibe by 10 MHz. So you want to offset each negative thought with two positive ones!
Do you focus on not having enough or wonder how you will pay the bills? The “fear” projected from this mindset may case feeling dis-empowered. Fear lowers your vibration, and causes you to attract more opportunities to feel fearful. It’s a vicious cycle that you can break free from.
The victim mentality keeps you stuck in old patterns, preventing the ability to get ahead or operate from your genius zone. Be mindful of your thoughts, behavior, and deliberately direct your attention to the actions you can take to break free of the victim mentality.
Challenge the myth of the “ideal worker.”
What programming keeps you from what you really want? Perhaps you believe you need to work forty hours a week to get by, or work more so you can get ahead. Working harder or longer hours isn’t the answer. Shifting your mindset about yourself, money and success will help you break free of old patterns and programming. Where are you locked into old patterns of how much you should work or how much should you get paid? What would your life to look like if you worked the hours and got paid what you want?
Identify what you value most and begin to set your intentions around how to get it. For example, when my kids were young, I wanted more time for myself and creative projects. My kids were young so while they were at school, I wanted time for me. I set my intention to work 20 hours a week, but still make the same amount as my 40 hour work week. Within a year I fulfilled this goal. Then the next year I wanted to work 20 hours and double my income. It became a fun game around what I wanted.
Without a goal related to what you value, you’ll fall into the trap of what is the “norm.” But it’s time to break free from the norm, right?
Today, we are busier than ever! With social media, text messages, emails and so on, it’s no wonder why so many people have a hard time staying focused and feeling productive. It’s easy to get so busy with distractions that there’s little time to focus on what really matters. Without managing distractions, most people fall into unhealthy habits and keep poor boundaries that cause them to wonder why they can’t get what they want.
Set time aside and take a step back. Observe what’s taking place. Make adjustments to keep focused on what really matters to you.
